Boldt Castle on Heart Island stands as a memorial to the magnificence of a bygone era and a testament of love of George C. Boldt for his wife, Louise. Wander through this awe-inspiring castle and let your thoughts take you into the saddest love story ever told.

  

  

Singer Castle

A slice of American history and local folklore come together at Singer Castle on Dark Island. Located along the St. Lawrence Seaway, Singer Castle is the only castle on the river to be completed, fully furnished and used as a residence.

ATV Trails

A popular recreational outdoor activity in North Country New York is ATV trail riding. St. Lawrence County has many trails and town roads which are ATV-accessible. The County Association and various clubs belonging to the association encourage safe travel. Town roads that are accessible are marked with ATV signs.

  

  

Fishing

Wherever you are in St. Lawrence County, great fishing is only minutes away. From the foothills of the Adirondacks to the St. Lawrence River, the North Country offers fishing opportunities for everyone. Today, St. Lawrence County provides better hunting conditions for some wildlife than at any other time. The combination of existing farmland adjacent to wild areas has produced a population explosion of deer, turkey, partridge, rabbit, and other small game.
